Radio Drama Stations

Radio drama is a form of audio storytelling broadcast on radio. With no visual component, radio drama depends on dialogue, music and sound effects to help the listener imagine the story.

Radio drama achieved widespread popularity within a decade of its initial development in the 1920s. By the 1940s, it was a leading international popular entertainment. With the advent of television in the 1950s, however, radio drama lost some of its popularity, and in some countries, has never regained large audiences. However, recordings of OTR (Old-time radio) survive today in the audio archives of collectors and museums.

As of 2006, radio drama has a minimal presence in the United States. Much of American radio drama is restricted to rebroadcasts or podcasts of programs from previous decades. However, other nations still have thriving traditions of radio drama. The BBC for example, produces and broadcasts hundreds of new radio dramas per year on Radio 4, BBC 7 and Radio 3.

Comedy Radio Stations

Radio comedy, or comedic radio programming, is a radio broadcast that may involve sitcom elements, sketches, stand-up and many other forms of comedy found on other mediums. It may also include more surreal or fantastic elements, as these can be conveyed on a small budget with just a few sound effects or some simple dialogue. Because of this, it is often less restrictive and can allow for more imaginative and inventive comedy.

Techno Radio Stations

Techno is a form of electronic dance music that became prominent in Detroit, Michigan during the mid 1980s.An expanded and related subset of genres in the 1990s emerged globally. Techno features an abundance of percussive, synthetic sounds, studio effects used as principal instrumentation, and a regular, 4/4 beat usually in the 130–140 bpm range—sometimes faster, but rarely slower.

Techno is very DJ friendly, being mainly instrumental, and produced with the intention of being incorporated into continuous DJ sets where different compositions are played with very long, synchronized segues.
