Classical Radio stations

Classical stations play mostly instrumental music from the Baroque period to the early twentieth century (1650-1920). Vocal selections and opera are usually confined to special shows. Often these stations also include arts and culture oriented talk.

This musical genre is usually played on "Public Radio" stations in the U.S., although some stations do devote their entire program schedule to classical music.

Typical Classical artists include: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Hayden, Stravinsky, Dvorak, Desbussy, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Moussorgsky, Wagner, Straus, Berlioz, Bartok, Vivaldi, Brahms
